Kevin Smyth has worked for more than 20 years in the fitness industry. He has helped hundreds of people change their lives by leading, educating and coaching them through fitness and exercise.
He has a B.S. in Physical Education, as well as a M.Ed. in Education in Counseling. He is certified with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM-CPT), American Council of Exercise (ACE) as a Personal Fitness Trainer and Group Instructor, TRX Suspension Training Certification, Madd Dogg Spinning, and AFAA Group Instructor. He is also a USAT Level l Certified Triathlon coach.
His past experience as a collegiate cheerleader, gymnastics coach, competitive runner, and group exercise instructor have helped to expand his knowledge base as well as fuel his passion for overall health and fitness.
While originally from Cleveland, Kevin’s professional fitness career has taken him through a variety of locations across the nation. He began his journey as a group instructor and personal trainer first in Arizona, working as a Fitness and Group Exercise Director at various clubs in the Phoenix area. When relocating to Hawaii he took on the position as Director of Group Exercise and Personal Trainer at the Honolulu Club. Then with a few years in Columbus and finally returning to Cleveland he continued to personal train and instruct group exercise classes throughout these cities.
Kevin continued pursuing his passion in fitness by following his life long dream of owning his own gym and is now the Founder and President of Fit Personal Training Studio.
